Preston Noton
Born in England, raised in South Africa and now a Canadian Citizen, Preston is a well seasoned global traveler with over 40 years of professional experience in the Heavy Industrial and Commercial sectors and has worked on 5 continents including the Middle East and in many different countries on projects ranging from $15 million to $6 billion.
Preston’s vast background of positional experience over the years ranging from his time in the military, Construction field Supervision, HSE program development, QA/QC, Field Engineering, Contractor management, Cost and Contract, Construction and Project Management as well as holding a directorship with one of Canada’s largest Engineering and Construction Globally based Organizations and running his own multimillion dollar business back in the early 90’s has positioned him as a well seasoned and successful Consultant within our Industry.
Preston is considered one of the Grandfathers of AWP having been involved from the very beginning of the program’s conception at COAA in 2003 and has made valuable contributions in delivering his root cause findings of cost overruns and workflow analysis on various large projects. Since then Preston has established himself as an AWP expert in developing and implementing AWP across the complete project lifecycle in conjunction with streamlining and enhancing organizational and project workflow processes.
Preston has been married for 30 years with 3 children and 2 grandchildren, he has a passion for writing and has completed his first book, his other passions include mentorship, teaching and training as well as enjoying the outdoors, hunting and nature.
